Day 3

Another non-challenging day. Easy peasy.

Breakfast: The oat bran standard as per Day 2

Morning tea: Handful of grapes and dried apricots, 1 coffee (white)

Lunch: 4 slices of country grain bread, 1 slice of Bega Cheese, 1 Tbspn low-fat Cottage Cheese, 1/4 red capsicum, 1/4 tomato, 200g of Veal with Tomato, onion and garlic (leftover from last night)

Dinner: 200g Sweet and sour chicken with stir-fry carrots, broccoli. snow peas, cabbage, pineapple, celery, onion. 1 handful of walnuts. Glass of cranberry juice.

Day 2

Great day, very easy going. Lived by the rules.

Breakfast: Oat bran with fruit and fresh Lo-fat Hi-Calium Soy milk, 1 white coffee

Lunch: 4 slices of country grain and soy bread, little bit of mayo, 1 slice of Bega cheese, 65g tuna with lime and pepper, half a tomato and half a red capsicum

Dinner: 200g yeal with cooked tomatoes, onion and garlic, and the steamed vegie combo of squash, snow peas, broccoli, carrots and pumpkin. Handful of walnuts, 1 green apple, 1/2 cup of yoghurt and glass of cranberry juice.

Fact for today:
Eat slowly and savour each mouthful - it also ensures you chew it all up properly to aid digestion.

Day 1

Today was 'omigod!' day on the scales.

Now I am sans gall bladder, I can eat what I want again, and it isn't doing me any favours.

I have 45 kilos to lose. Urge me on as I take on this challenge.

Facts for today -

  1. Over 1200-1500mg of calcium a day will help reduce abdominal fat faster - read it for yourself! Natural sources are the best, but I'm taking Caltrate as well.
  2. Superfoods:
    Beans
    Blueberries
    Broccoli
    Oats
    Oranges
    Pumpkin
    Salmon
    Soy
    Spinach
    Tea (green or black)
    Tomatoes
    Turkey
    Walnuts
    Yogurt

    Today - I had Pumpkin, Soy and Broccoli

Progress
Walked 2.1kms at the park.

Lunch:
Chicken with ginger and shallots and fried rice

Dinner:
Honey-Soy Chicken with steamed snow peas, yellow squash, carrots, pumpkin and broccoli and a glass of cranberry juice
